Our Story

How celviones Came to Be

celviones was founded in Chiang Mai in 2018 by a small group of educators and former banking professionals who noticed something consistent across their personal and professional lives: adults in their forties, fifties, and sixties in Thailand — both Thai nationals and long-term foreign residents — often had significant financial experience but limited structured understanding of how their financial situations actually fit together.

Many had been saving, investing, and managing debt for decades. Fewer had ever sat down, calmly and without sales pressure, to look at the whole picture. The gap was not one of intelligence or effort — it was one of access. The financial education resources that existed were either aimed at younger people just starting out, or they came bundled with product recommendations.

The founding team set out to create something different: structured, educator-led programs with no financial products attached. Programs where the goal was understanding, not action — and where that understanding was left entirely with the participant to use as they saw fit.

Since then, celviones has worked with individuals, couples, and small groups from across Thailand and the wider region, developing a reputation for the quality of its facilitation and the practical value of its materials. We remain a deliberately small practice. Cohorts are kept small, sessions are unhurried, and the educators who lead each program are the same people who developed the curriculum.

Our Mission

To give adults over 40 the knowledge and structured tools to understand their own financial situations — without pressure, products, or oversimplification.

Our Vision

A community of financially aware adults in Thailand who approach decisions with clarity and confidence — not because they were sold something, but because they understood what they had.

Our Commitment

Every person who attends a celviones program will leave with something tangible — a document, a framework, a set of questions — that continues to be useful after the sessions end.

How We Work

Standards We Hold Ourselves To

No Product Affiliation

celviones is not affiliated with any bank, insurer, investment house, or financial product provider. We receive no commission from any third party.

Controlled Group Sizes

We cap cohorts at four couples or six individuals. This ensures sessions remain focused and that participants receive adequate time and attention.

Current, Reviewed Materials

All curriculum materials are reviewed annually and updated when Thai financial regulations or relevant market structures change. We do not use outdated content.

Participant Privacy

Information shared during sessions remains within the session. We do not share participant details with third parties, and personal financial information is used only within the program context.

Educator Standards

All celviones educators complete an internal accreditation process and participate in ongoing professional development in both financial content and adult education methodology.

Post-Program Feedback

Every cohort completes a structured feedback process. That feedback is reviewed and used to refine program content and facilitation approach on an ongoing basis.

About the Practice

Financial Education Rooted in Thailand's Reality

celviones operates from central Chiang Mai, within Thailand's second-largest urban area and a location that draws both Thai families and a substantial community of long-term foreign residents. This geographic reality shapes our programs directly. The regulatory and structural environment we teach about reflects Thailand's actual banking, insurance, and investment frameworks — not a generic international curriculum adapted for local use.

Adults in their forties and beyond occupy a distinct moment in their financial lives. Many hold a mix of formal and informal financial arrangements accumulated over decades. Some have navigated financial products without fully understanding the terms. Others are approaching retirement without a clear picture of what their savings will actually support. Our programs address each of these situations through structured education, not advice.

We believe that clarity is valuable in itself. When people understand their own financial picture with precision — what they hold, what it costs, how it is protected, and what frameworks govern it — they are better positioned to engage productively with professional advisors and to make decisions that reflect their actual circumstances rather than incomplete assumptions.
